About

We build software that fades into your work, so it becomes how you do something rather than something you think about. Our aim is quiet usefulness: focused, careful, and made to feel right in the small moments of a day.

Xerox PARC quietly invented much of how people use computers today. Our name borrows from PARC and Software Engineering (SE), and our ambition from the same place: make software that genuinely changes how someone works.

Parcse Labs

Not every idea is ready to be an app. Some are experiments still finding their shape, some are prototypes built to answer a single question, and a few may never leave the bench.

We keep them at labs.parcse.com, open for anyone curious enough to try them. What works there eventually becomes a product. What doesn’t teaches us something useful for the ones that do.

How we work

A few principles guide every release.

  • Built from the user’s seat. Every feature starts from a real problem we run into ourselves. Not a feature spec, not a market gap, just something that got in our way until we built the answer.
  • Experience is its own work. Working software is the floor, not the ceiling. We spend disproportionate time on the way an app feels: the rhythm of interactions, the small visual moments, the details that make it stop being functional and start being good.
  • Quiet about you. We don’t collect personal information. We don’t sell data. What we do look at is anonymous usage to learn what’s working and crash reports to fix what isn’t.
